Job Description
We are recruiting Assistant Project Managers for a project on integrating mental health and psychosocial support in child protection systems in India. This project will focus on adapting modules on psychosocial interventions for vulnerable children, adolescents and caregivers and train, mentor & supervise master trainers to deliver the adapted modules in Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra. The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will be located in Nashik and will work from the Nashik Divisional office.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate with government departments at district level responsible for Children & Adolescent mental health & well-being
- Coordinate with child protection functionaries, and CBO partners across Nashik Division Activate community networks, parents, caregivers and stakeholder groups responsible for child protection through outreach activities.
- Support organizing district consultations and training with stakeholders.
- Support the project team with module adaptations, translations, and reviewing adapted manuals.
- Support with mentoring master trainers in integrating MHPSS in child protection systems along with project team members.
- Support the project team with monitoring and evaluation.
- Work closely with project team members, master trainers and other stakeholders to align implementation plans with project objectives and community needs.
- Support documentation and dissemination of project activities.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Essential
- Master’s degree in psychology, mental health or social work.
- 2-3 years of experience in child protection systems, mental health and psychosocial support for children and adolescents, and/or working with caregivers.
- Familiarity with research methods and conducting monitoring and evaluation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with teams.
- Can communicate effectively in English, Marathi and Hindi (verbal and written).
- Willingness to travel within the Nashik division based on project requirements.
