Job Description
Project Implementation
- Community Engagement and capacity building of women artisans and assist the Project Coordinator in project implementation on ground.
- Conduct training on Gender, group processes, book keeping, sustainable production practices and certification process.
- Form women artisans’ collective (SHG/PG/CSOs) and facilitate resource allocation for effective functioning of the groups.
- Monitor the progress of the project activities and report the deliverables to the Project Coordinator and Project Manager
- Identify potential gaps and challenges with the artisan clusters and the implementation.
- Assist the Project Coordinator in monitoring and evaluation of the project activities.
- Monthly planning of the tasks and review the effectiveness of the groups with the Master Trainers.
- Conduct regular field visits, preferably 50 percent of the time to guide and handhold master trainers and artisan groups in the implementation of the tasks.
Networking and Advocacy:
- Coordinate with different stakeholders at the village and block-level (SHGs/VOs/CLFs/SRLM/GP) to select target households for project activities and leverage resources from Government schemes.
- Facilitate linkages with the government stakeholders and work assigned to the community groups.
Reporting:
- Ensure implementation of work and regular progress reporting to PC.
- Support in quality data collection, monitor progress, gather new information, as required by the project
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Graduation in any field but non-graduates with relevant development sector experience may also be considered.
- Experience: The candidate should have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in grassroots-level implementation and a stronghold in the community.
- The candidate should be process conscious and sensitive to diversity and vulnerability based on gender and ethnicity, and have knowledge and experience in engaging with stakeholders.
- Some exposure to the handloom and handicrafts sector is ideal.
