Job Description

The CMGGA Programme is a flagship initiative of the Government of Haryana, supported by Global Village Foundation and Rishihood University, aimed at engaging promising young minds to strengthen governance at the grassroots. It focuses on a results-driven approach, combining experiential learning with social impact to create sustainable improvements in public service delivery. As an immersive fellowship, the CMGGA Programme places Associates in all 22 districts of Haryana, enabling them to work alongside district administrations and the Chief Minister’s Office while contributing to impactful reforms and improved service delivery.

The Communication Lead will design and implement the communication and outreach strategy for the CMGGA programme. This includes managing official CMGGA social media handles, media engagement, and public campaigns to strengthen the programme’s visibility, credibility, and impact at both state and district levels.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the overall communication strategy for CMGGA.
  • Manage official CMGGA social media handles, ensuring timely, engaging, and impactful content.
  • Draft press releases, op-eds, and manage relationships with media outlets for coverage of programme milestones.
  • Capture and showcase grassroots stories, case studies, and innovations from Fellows and district-level initiatives.
  • Oversee design and publication of newsletters, reports, and other communication materials.
  • Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and compliance with government communication guidelines.
  • Monitor media coverage and social media engagement; prepare analytics reports and recommend improvements.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or Public Policy.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in communication strategy, media, or public engagement.
  • Prior experience managing social media campaigns for government, development sector, or fellowship programmes.
  • Strong skills in storytelling, content creation (print, digital, visual), and campaign management.
  • Familiarity with digital tools for analytics, scheduling, and media monitoring.
  • Ability to build and manage media partnerships and coordinate high-visibility campaigns.
  • Experience in training, knowledge management, and project coordination with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
