ABOUT THE PROGRAM
AIF’s Livelihoods program envisions a world where poor and vulnerable communities have access to
dignified work opportunities, empower them with sustainable livelihoods. Since 2006, the Livelihoods Program has directly and indirectly served 2.20 million people from vulnerable communities. Leveraging technology to provide financial and market linkages, knowledge, skills, and dignified work opportunities, the program helps the communities secure jobs, manage enterprises, and make a respectable living. Since its inception in 2006, through its flagship programs Market Aligned Skills Training (MAST) and Ability Based Livelihood Empowerment (ABLE), AIF Livelihoods has provided program support to 825,960 disadvantaged youth, women and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs), and impacted 343,727 livelihoods.
Scope of Work:
- Co - ordination with AIFT’s Communication team for all Livelihoods Related Communication and Media Responsibilities.
- Assist in the creation of and be responsible for executing and managing a multi-channel online and social media strategy to communicate about the Program to external and internal stakeholders.
- Co Ordinate with internal and external stakeholders to conceptualize and execute compelling social and digital media campaigns, including planning and dissemination of multimedia content such as podcasts and videos.
- Develop and manage database of case studies and stories collected from the field (including photo and video), and streamline process to make content available widely across the organization for diverse uses.
- Write and/or assist in preparation of reports for various uses. Writing Articles, Social Media Posts and other Written Communication Materials
- Coordinating with Newspapers, Electronic Media Channels, and social media to create maximum visibility for the Livelihoods Program and appropriately profile the Impact Stories
- Designing / Coordinating with Design Agencies for Communications Materials such as Brochures, Flyers, Centre Communication Materials
- Developing engaging and powerful decks for Program pathways and innovative concept.
- Assisting and coordinating for the overall Communication Strategy of Market Aligned Skills Foundation including the website design, content development and updation.
Qualification and Experience:
- Graduate with 4-5 years of experience in communication, media or relevant field. Social sector shall be an added advantage.
- Editorial experience, i.e., writing, proofreading, translating knowledge of different content types, etc.
- Understanding of current trends in digital/social media.
- Proven graphic designing experience.
- A strong portfolio of illustrations or other graphics
- Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and Photoshop, Canva)
- A keen eye for aesthetics and details
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines
- Excellent team and interpersonal skills
- High level of communication both written and verbal
- Training and capacity building skills
- Good analytical and networking skills – internal and external
- Experience in brand building
- Ability to travel extensively
