Centre for Health Research and Innovation (CHRI), a PATH affiliate, has been implementing various projects in coordination with MoHFW, India from past 7 years.  CHRI is currently recruiting District Coordinators in Aligarh, Mathura, Prayagraj, Varanasi and Saharanpur for supporting control and prevention of Dengue-Chikungunya, and Malaria elimination programme in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The District Coordinators will be the focal point of contact for the project in the delegated districts and will support in coordination, training, implementation, monitoring and reporting to the technical support units under the grant, which is being funded by Godrej CSR for dengue-chikungunya prevention and control, and malaria elimination. The District Coordinators will also be involved in handholding of the district implementation programme managers in specific activities done for Malaria, Dengue and Chikungunya prevention.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support in coordination with district/block program officers on Dengue/Chikungunya and malaria activities.
  • Support in district level trainings and workshops.
  • Regular one-to-one sensitization visits with key private and informal practitioners.
  • Assist the district in outbreak management and response for Dengue-Chikungunya and malaria on ground under the supervision of state technical office in Lucknow.
  • Support the district in IVM implementation, both short term and long term.
  • Support in maintaining the line-listing of Dengue-Chikungunya and malaria cases.
  • Support in execution of city level action plans for Malaria under the supervision of state technical officer.
  • Daily reporting of planned activities to the state technical unit.
  • Display strong working relationship with working partners in the state.
  • Any other activity assigned by State Technical Unit.

Qualification:

Essential:

  • M.Sc. in Entomology / Master’s in Zoology with Entomology / in any Life Science disciplines specializing in Entomology, with experience in working in public health programs.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office.

Desirable:

  • Masters or Diploma in Health Management from reputed College/ University.
  • Work Experience – Minimum two (2) years in any National health program.
