IT Project Manager – Digital Health (ESIC Programs)
Location: Remote / Multi-state travel as required
Engagement: Full-time / Project-based
Role Purpose
The IT Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of ESIC’s digital health initiatives, including health-risk profiling tools, OPD pre-consultation triaging systems, and internal program monitoring solutions.
The role focuses on program orchestration, vendor-led delivery management, governance, and rollout readiness, ensuring predictable execution and operational adoption across states and healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Delivery Management
- Develop and manage detailed project plans covering:
- Scope, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables
- Coordinate delivery across multiple workstreams (technology, operations, training, deployment)
- Track delivery progress against plan and report status to Program Team, ESIC team etc
- Act as the primary delivery coordinator between ESIC teams, technology partners, and implementation agencies
- Own day-to-day delivery oversight across vendors and workstreams
- Manage delivery artefacts using JIRA or equivalent tools, including:
- Backlogs, user stories, tasks, defects, and releases
- Sprint planning, sprint reviews, and burn-down tracking
- Track and resolve dependencies, risks, and delivery blockers
- Ensure vendor outputs meet functional, quality, and timeline expectations
- Coordinate closely with Sr. BSA on requirement clarifications and acceptance criteria
- Plan and manage pilot deployments and phased rollouts
- Coordinate training, onboarding, and go-live readiness
- Ensure solutions are usable in:
- Low digital literacy environments
- Multilingual contexts
- Low-connectivity or offline conditions
- Identify and manage risks related to scope, delivery, adoption, and compliance
- Maintain delivery governance through:
- Risk and issue logs
- Change requests and approvals
- Decision tracking and escalation
- Ensure compliance with government IT and data security norms
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing with Program Team & ESIC stakeholders
- Track defects, ensure closures, and obtain sign-offs
- Support go-live and post-deployment stabilization
- Monitor early adoption and coordinate corrective actions
- Prepare structured status reports and dashboards
- Facilitate review meetings, sprint reviews, and steering committee updates
- Maintain transparent communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- MBA / PG in Project or Program Management preferred
Experience
- 8–12 years managing IT or technology-enabled projects
- Strong experience in vendor-led and agile / hybrid delivery environments
- Prior exposure to GovTech, healthcare IT, or large public-sector programs preferred
Core Skills
- Strong delivery and execution management
- Hands-on experience with JIRA or similar delivery tracking tools
- Vendor and stakeholder management
- SDLC and agile delivery understanding
- Clear documentation and reporting discipline
Good to Have
- PMP / PRINCE2 / CSM certification
- Experience with multi-state or multi-facility deployments
