Job Description
As an intern in the CORE project, you will gain hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture, carbon markets, gender-transformative programming, and climate policy. You will support the CORE India and Global teams in operational implementation, knowledge management, research, communication, and stakeholder engagement.
Job Responsibilities
Support Workshops and Knowledge Events
- Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of regional and national events (farmer consultations, policy dialogues, south-south exchanges).
- Contribute to logistics, outreach, promotional materials, and event documentation.
Awareness Campaigns and Communication
- Support awareness campaigns for international events (World Soil Day, International Rice Day, COP side events).
- Draft blogs, social media content, newsletters, and knowledge materials.
- Assist in multimedia documentation showcasing farmer stories and women leaders in climate action.
Case Study Compilation – Farmer Stories and Women Leaders
- Collect and document success stories from smallholder farmers adopting low-emission rice practices.
- Highlight gender-transformative impacts and women’s leadership in agriculture.
- Contribute to project reports, operational manuals, and knowledge products.
Research and Documentation
- Conduct desk research on carbon markets, climate-smart rice cultivation, and agricultural policy frameworks.
- Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and background papers for the project team.
- Support documentation of CORE’s methodology development and contributions to the Voluntary Carbon Market framework.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in India and abroad, including project managers, technical experts, and communication specialists.
- Participate in meetings, share insights, and contribute to strategic discussions.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
Applicants fulfilling the following criteria should apply:
- Current enrolment in a master’s degree program in agriculture, environmental sciences, economics, climate policy, journalism, communications, or related fields.
Candidate who have completed their degree not more than 6 months ago shall apply.
- Strong interest in carbon markets, agricultural transformation, gender equality, and climate-smart practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Hindi or other regional languages is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with data visualization or research tools is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
- The duration of the assignment is six months starting on 1st September 2025,
