About the Organisation

Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), popularly known as Pusa Institute is the leading institution for agricultural research, education and extension in the country. The Institute has been doing pioneering work in various fields of agricultural engineering, microbiology, seed science, soil technology and other areas. The Water Technology Centre (WTC) in IARI is an inter-disciplinary facility for research, teaching, training and extension in agricultural water management. The Institute has 8 regional stations across the country.

About the Project:
DBT project “Mainstreaming corn based biopolymers as alternative to single use plastic”

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience:

• M.Sc. in Material Science / Biotechnolog y / Environment al Science / Chemistry / Life Sciences/ Microbiology or related disciplines
• OR B.E. / B.Tech. / M.E. / M. Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Biotechnolog y/ Polymer Science or allied branches.
• Candidate should have qualified NET/ GATE/ similar National Exam.
• Research experience in polymer technology, bioplastics development, or related fields, as evidenced by publications, patents, or demonstrable outputs.

Age Limit: Upto 28 years as on the last date of applicatio n for General & EWS category. Age relaxation of up to 5 years (33 years) for SC/ ST/ Differentl y Abled/ Women candidate s and upto 3 years (31 years) for OBC (NonCreamy Layer) candidates
