About the Organization

The Government of India established the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (PSA) in November 1999. The PSA’s office aims to provide pragmatic and objective advice to the Prime Minister and the cabinet in matters of Science and Technology. The Office of PSA was placed under the Cabinet Secretariat in August, 2018.

Job Responsibilities

• Contribute to OPSA-PAIU initiatives through policy analysis using qualitative and quantitative approaches.
• Conducting in-depth research and data analytics on technology policy.
• Develop qualitative and quantitative research methods to collect, organise, and interpret data on various national and international technology policy issues.
• Conduct technology foresight and forecasting exercises to generate reports and policy briefs.
• Build in-house expertise in policy analytics through capacity-building activities.
• Provide coordination support to the OPSA in organising consultations, events and meetings.
• Engage actively in cross-functional team collaborations to drive project success.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of relevant work experience
• Bachelor's/ Master’s degree in Engineering & Technology with proven experience in the policy domain

                                          (OR)

• Master’s degree in Social Sciences (Public policy, Political science, Economics, International relations, etc.) with proven experience in the Science & Tech policy area.
• Demonstrated expertise in qualitative and quantitative analysis
• Experience in scientometric analytical methodologies and analytical frameworks would be an advantage.
