Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Executive Officer to oversee our holistic rural development projects in the Tirupati District of Andhra Pradesh. The ideal candidate will be a resident of Andhra Pradesh and must have a deep understanding of the local context, culture, and challenges faced by the communities in Tirupati.’
Job Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop project plans, budgets, and timelines for holistic rural development initiatives.
- Ensure the successful implementation of projects, meeting set objectives and targets.
- Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to achieve desired outcomes.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local communities, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to identify project needs and priorities.
Team Management:
- Lead and supervise project staff, ensuring their effective performance and professional development.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment within the team.
Resource Management:
- Manage project resources efficiently, including human resources, finances, and materials.
- Ensure compliance with funding requirements and reporting.
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and implement a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to assess project impact.
- Regularly collect data, analyze results, and provide reports to stakeholders.
Capacity Building:
- Identify training needs within the community and project team, and facilitate capacity-building initiatives.
- Empower local communities with knowledge and skills to sustain project benefits.
Advocacy and Networking:
- Represent the organization in relevant forums, meetings, and conferences.
- Advocate for policies and practices that promote holistic rural development.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Rural Development, Social Work, Agriculture, Community Development).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on rural development.
- Strong understanding of the Tirupati region and its unique challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in the local language and dialects is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups and communities.
- Experience in managing donor-funded projects is a plus.
