About the Organization

Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) is a not-for-profit Section 8, Schedule B, Public Sector Enterprise, under Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India as an Interface Agency to strengthen and empower the emerging Biotech enterprise to undertake strategic research and innovation, addressing nationally relevant product development needs.

Job Responsibilities

• Advise on the PPP schemes and partnered funding.
• Strengthening Royalty recovery and compliance mechanisms
• Advise on the implementation of alternate funding mechanisms like equity models at BIRAC. Develop operational and legal framework, engagement with partners and relevant stakeholders, Institutional Capacity Building and develop monitoring and evaluation framework.
• Advise on any other matter related to BIRAC, as instructed from time to time by the management

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Those retired as JS/DS/US/Director level position from Central/State Government/ Autonomous bodies / Ministries / other Govt. Departments.

                               Or

• Employees of PSUs under Govt. of India superannuated as General Manager / Group General Manager in specific domain areas such as Biotechnology, Technical and International Project Managements, or any other relevant area of requirement.
• Experience: More than Twenty-Five (25) Years.
• Age: Maximum 65 Years as on closing date of application.
