Job Description
Title of the Project Rangewide Estimation of River Dolphin-2 nd Cycle
Oversee project implementation across multiple states, including planning and executing field surveys on Ganges River dolphins. The candidate must be capable of leading field teams, systematically sampling water, sediments, and biota in remote riverine habitats, and managing analytical data for ecological risk assessment.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Doctoral Degree in Science AND Three years' experience (after obtaining required degree) in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or Science & Technology organisations and scientific activities and services
OR
- Master's Degree in Engineering & Technology from a recognised university or equivalent, AND Three years' experience (after obtaining required degree) in R&D in industrial and academic institutions or Science & Technology organisations and scientific activities and services
Desirable Qualification(s)
- Candidates with prior experience in the ecotoxicology of freshwater river systems are preferred. They should have sound knowledge of various sampling techniques for water, sediments, and biota and proficiency in using ecotoxicology- related analytical instruments (e.g., GCMS, LC-MS/MS, AAS, ICP-MS).
