About the Organization

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Job Responsibilities

• Data collection through a household survey/focus Group Discussion/Case studies/Secondary sources.
• Field visits to all Districts of Maharashtra
• Identification of key informants from various stakeholders and conduct of qualitative interviews, Focus group discussions

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• MA in Social work, Rural Development/Sociology/Economics. or Post Graduate in any discipline. Preference will be given to candidates who have M.A in Tribal / DNT/ NT Studies on Children. Have good knowledge of data entry in statistical Software

Salary

Consolidated payment of Rs.30,000/ per month + Traveling expenses during data collection by public transport
