Job Description

We are looking for a young and dynamic team member with strong research acumen, multi-stakeholder coordination capabilities, and an applied understanding of climate change and sustainability, just transition and agro based livelihoods. She/He should have prior experience working with communities, organising multi-stakeholder workshops/conferences and/ or managing partnerships.

Job Responsibilities

• Conducting secondary and meta reviews on climate change and gender, especially women's collectives led climate action in India.
• Conduct desk-based secondary research and literature reviews on locally-led climate action, just transition, including tracking global and national trends, and consolidating findings to highlight stakeholder narratives and priorities across these thematic areas.
• Provide support in designing and conducting multi-stakeholder workshops around the core thematic areas of locally-led climate action, gender-responsive climate action, just transitions and allied topics.
• Undertake field visits to select states to document case studies and conduct community interviews.
• Undertake drafting and preparation of research report/s, policy briefs, and presentations.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• 4- 5 years of professional experience with a Master’s degree in Climate Change/Environmental studies, Public Policy, Development studies, Gender Studies/Anthropology, Economics, Agriculture or a related field;
• At least 3 years of research/programmatic experience in climate and gender, especially locally led climate action
• Strong understanding in rural development/ rural livelihoods focused institutions, particularly Self
• Help Groups, National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM), Panchayati Raj Institutions , and CSO-led climate resilience initiatives.
• Experience in conducting community-focused field research (survey interviews, focus group discussions, etc.) and stakeholder consultations
• Strong writing and communication skills in English and Hindi for dissemination and outreach.
