About the Organization

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Job Description

The candidate shall report directly to the Programme Associate, Programme Officers and Supervisors at iCALL, and shall be responsible for the following:

Answering calls and emails, maintaining records, monthly reports of the calls and emails attended on the helpline

• Monitoring and guiding the other counsellor’s work at iCALL
• Daily reviewing emails and sharing feedback
• Assisting with monthly data of calls and emails
• Design training modules and workshops for academic, government,  and corporate institutions when required
• Deliver talks, conduct training, and workshops on topics related to counseling, mental health, and psychosocial well-being when required
• Write newsletters, fliers, blogs, and articles to help sensitize laypeople regarding mental health
• Develop case studies, research papers, and other works of academic writing on iCALL’s work when required.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Possess a Master’s Degree in Counselling or Clinical Psychology
• Have counselling experience for a minimum of 2-3 years
• Proficiency in spoken English and Hindi is required, along with strong writing skills in English. Additionally, fluency in any other Indian regional language will be considered an asset
• Possess expertise or basic understanding of utilizing computer applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation, data analysis, and counselling
• Be willing to commit for at least a year
• Have sound knowledge of therapeutic process skills and psychotherapy
• Be willing to work in shifts on a weekly rotational basis
• Be willing to travel within Mumbai and to different parts of the country to conduct outreach, training, and workshops when required

Salary

Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 42,000 per Month Up to 15,000 self-care allowance per annum and Mediclaim
