About the Organization

The National Disease Modelling Consortium (NDMC) is a unique national effort to develop India-specific models of various diseases. Established in 2022, NDMC is anchored in the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and represents a group of modellers from across the country. NDMC aims to generate consolidated estimates of disease burden and the overall effect of vaccination and other treatment and intervention strategies on the population.

Job Description

• Interface with consultant management, the Secretariat head, PI, Co-PI, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Actively participate in project outreach activities to promote project objectives and engage with relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee day-to-day operational activities of the project, ensuring smooth execution and adherence to project timelines and deliverables.
• Assist in the organization and management of project activities, including workshops, events, and meetings.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills and leadership abilities to interact with the projectnteam, partners, and stakeholders effectively.
• Coordinate and arrange meetings between faculty investigators, partners, and ministry officials to facilitate collaboration and decision-making.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for the consortium on all project management matters, addressing inquiries and providing support as needed.
• Assist in project report writing and collation of information, ensuring accuracy and completeness of project documentation.
• Participate in the scrutiny of prospective employees for the consortium
• Required person would also assist in the technical part of the project. A background in public health, disease modelling, data analytics or life sciences would get preference.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• PhD in Engineering / MTech/ME/MDes or equivalent degree with minimum 3 years relevant experience/ BTech/BE/BDes or equivalent engineering degree with minimum 5 years of experience

                            OR

• PhD in Sciences with minimum 2 years relevant experience / MSc or MPH with 5 years experience
• Desired competencies Utilize MS Office and Google Docs for project management tasks, including document creation, collaboration, and data management. Work effectively in a multicultural team environment, fostering inclusivity and leveraging diverse perspectives for project success. Respond  promptly to urgent tasks and deadlines, demonstrating the ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
