About the Organisation:
Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), popularly known as Pusa Institute is the leading institution for agricultural research, education and extension in the country. The Institute has been doing pioneering work in various fields of agricultural engineering, microbiology, seed science, soil technology and other areas. The Water Technology Centre (WTC) in IARI is an inter-disciplinary facility for research, teaching, training and extension in agricultural water management. The Institute has 8 regional stations across the country.

About the Project:
ICAR project “Enhancing climate resilience and ensuring food security with genome editing tools”

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience:

• Postgraduates in Biotechnology/ Plant Physiology/ Plant Biochemistry / Microbiology/ any relevant discipline of life sciences or graduate degree holders in relevant Engineering/ Technology
• Research experience in recombinant DNA technology/ genome editing, and crop transformation (with emphasis on mustard transformation), as evidenced by publications.

Age Limit: Minimum: 21 years; Maximum : 45 years Relaxation in upper age limit to SC/ST (5 years), OBC (3 years), PwD (10 years) and other eligible categories shall be applicable as per GoI/ ICAR rules.
