About the Course:

The MBA in Development Management is the Two-Year Program in Development Management that blends ideas of development with management theories, combining in-class sessions with collaborative group work and a field component. The Program aims to develop a cadre of Development Professionals who can design interventions, and build, lead and manage organisations for sustainable impact.

ELECTIVE COURSES

Electives are offered based on current industry needs, students' requirements and their interest.

DISSERTATION AND INTERNSHIP

Each student is required to submit a dissertation involving personal research in his/her area of interest. The dissertation includes a critical review of literature pertaining to the specific area of interest, data collection and analysis on the selected problem. The dissertation must be completed in the second year to qualify for the degree.

Merit Scholarship:

The scholarships based on merit will be awarded to students applying for MBA Development Management as per the following details on meeting any one of the given eligibility criteria and score obtained in the admission process:

Total Number of Merit Scholarships Available: 20 Scholarships

Eligibility Criteria: The scholarship will be awarded to students based on meeting the following eligibility criteria and on first come first serve:

55% or above aggregate marks in bachelor’s degree

Amount of Scholarship: Rs. 1,00,000 each student

Freeships:

Under freeships, full tuition fee reimbursement will be offered to students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ EWS (Economically Weaker section) on need cum merit basis.

Total Number of Freeships available: 1 seat for SC/ST/OBC and 1 seat for EWS.

Eligibility Criteria: Freeship will be awarded to eligible students based on need cum combined merit (Including all rounds of GD & PI) prepared at the time of admission

Amount of Freeship: Rs. 3,33,500 each student

Terms and Conditions

Merit Scholarships are not guaranteed to all the students fulfilling the above criteria.

Limited number of merit scholarships for each program (as mentioned above) will be awarded based on the above eligibility criteria and on first come first serve basis at the sole discretion of the of the IIHMR University.

Freeships will be awarded to eligible students based on combined merit list prepared (including all rounds of GD&PI) at the time of admission.

In case of tie between two students having same overall score in the admission process, offer of scholarship/ freeship will be given to the student who would be having higher percentage in bachelor’s degree..

The total scholarship amount will be adjusted in the last instalment. The amount of Scholarship will not be disbursed directly to any of the student.

Benefits under freeships and scholarships cannot be availed together. Students who are offered freeship will not be eligible for availing scholarship along with freeship.

There is no need to apply separately for scholarship. The application form submitted for admission for the opted program by the prospective student will serve as application for scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria

A Graduate from any discipline with 50% or above [45% or above for SC/ST/OBC/ EWS/ PwD] aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA.

Candidates in the final year of the bachelor's degree may also apply. If they would furnish evidence of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September'2023
