About the Fellowship

The International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) offers the Junior Professional Officer (JPO) Programme, sponsored by IFAD Member States to provide young, university-trained professionals with an opportunity to gain experience within the United Nations system. JPOs contribute to IFAD's mission while developing professional skills and gaining practical knowledge of the UN, international development, and agricultural and rural development.

Programme Details

Eligibility

Applicants must generally:

• Be under 35 years of age.
• Hold an advanced university degree.
• Have relevant professional experience.
• Be fluent in English.
• Have knowledge of Arabic, French, Spanish, or another relevant language where required for the assignment.
