Marico Innovation Foundation (MIF) is a philanthropic institution committed to fostering and catalyzing India’s innovation landscape, and groundbreaking technologies which can create large-scale impact for millions of people.

MIF’s mission is to identify disruptive innovations with the potential to create long-lasting socio-economic and environmental impact in India and provide them with comprehensive support to increase their visibility, opportunities, and probability of success.

Founded in 2003 as the not-for-profit arm of the parent company Marico Limited, MIF has 2 flagship programs:

• Indian Innovation Icons (Formerly known as Innovation for India Awards)

About Indian Innovation Icons:

It is a platform to showcase ‘currently hidden, yet potentially game-changing’ Indian innovations. More than just awards; they are a gateway to recognition and a symbol of excellence in innovation. The biennial program is one of the foremost innovation awards in the country and will launch the 11th edition in 2027. The program recognizes winners from two categories:

Business [For-Profit] | Social [Not-For-Profit]

Indian Innovation Icons has a unique and robust evaluation process spanning over 8 months to handpick the most disruptive and promising innovations as the winners. This includes 2 rounds of deliberations by an independent jury on each category and thorough on-ground due diligence conducted by an independent knowledge partner.

The grand finale of the Awards is a curated experience with an audience of over 500 distinguished people. The highlight of the evening are the extraordinary stories of innovation, perseverance and change that are presented by the winners.

Over the past 10 editions, 70+ disruptive Indian innovations have been recognized.
