Global Inclusive Finance Summit 2024

About the Organization :

ACCESS Development Services was established as a spin-off of a large successful programme focused on advancing microfinance and small enterprises in the country, that was supported by DFID (Govt. of UK). ACCESS was set up on March 1, 2006 as a Section 8 “not for profit” company. Once set up, ACCESS diversified its mission to design composite livelihood programmes to holistically improve and strengthen the economic status of the poor, and taking them to sustainable levels for impacting their quality of life. 

About the Global Inclusive Finance Summit:  

The Global Inclusive Finance initiative is a platform set up by ACCESS Development Services to support the drive for universal and robust financial inclusion in India through knowledge dissemination and policy dialogue. With over 20 years of legacy, the platform congregates government, regulatory, corporate, market enablers, academic, and other financial sector professionals to develop global, regional, and industrial financial inclusion agendas. 

This year, the Global Inclusive Finance Summit 2024 will be organized on December 11 & 12, 2024, in New Delhi, marking 21 years of the summit since it was first organized in 2004. The Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Government of India is the Co-host of the summit. Over more than two decades, the Summit has evolved significantly, making it, perhaps, the largest annual event on financial inclusion globally. Each year, the summit invites over 120 experts, including thought leaders, policy makers, regulators, financial institutions, technology enablers, investors, researchers, foundations, and private sector players from within and outside India, to speak on diverse themes across 25 sessions over the two days. About 1,200 delegates attend the Summit. 

This year, special efforts are being made to curate a few international panels with the participation of global thought leaders, not only to facilitate cross-learning but also to showcase the incredible strides that India has made in advancing financial inclusion. The Summit format will include Fireside Chats, Ted Talk equivalents, Pitches & Rapid-Fire sessions. At the time of the Summit, several other stakeholders organize related side events, round tables, and seminars, making the two days truly a celebration of financial inclusion in India.
