Institute of Livelihood Research and Training (ILRT) is announcing “Training Program on Scaling-up pro-poor Value Chain and Market System Development“ from 4^th to 8^th February, 2025 at Bhopal Madhya Pradesh. The training program is developed by Value Chain Capacity Building Network (VCB-N), a network promoted by IFAD for promoting pro-poor value chain and market system development. ILRT is founding member and CoE of VCB-N has conducted about 4 international and 6 national program on related theme.

About the Course:

The farmers and other producers, who are large in number and are engaged in production of diversified goods and services under agriculture and allied sector, need to engage in value chains and market systems. The approach of Value Chain and Market System Development (VC & MSD) not only promotes market-oriented value-added production but also address the issue of employability at local level and ensure better price from the market. The course on Pro-poor VC & MSD has been developed by VCB-N for capacity building of professionals working in livelihood projects. The Course focuses on i) concepts and framework, ii) approach and processes and iii) tools and techniques including action planning on VC & MSD.

Who should attend the Course?

Professionals and project staff who are engaged in planning and facilitating value chain and market system development activities under agri-horti, agri-allied and agro-forestry sectors .
