Title: Young Professionals Program (WBG YPP) 2020

Organization: World Bank Group (WBG)

The WBG YPP is a unique opportunity for young professionals who have both a passion for international development/ finance and the potential to grow into impactful leadership roles across the World Bank Group.

Eligibility

Title: Applications Invited for Dame DeAnne Julius Senior Academy Fellowship in International Economics

Organization: Chatham House

Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, is independent and owes no allegiance to any government or to any political body. Fellows will pursue research in the area of international economics that is relevant and makes a contribution to Chatham House’s work on global governance.

Eligibility:

  • The fellowship is open to all nationalities.
  • As a minimum, the applicant must have completed a Masters Degree in Economics, international political economy or related subjects, or have equivalent research experience. A PhD is preferred.
  • The fellowships are intended to attract candidates from academia, NGOs, business, government or the media who can demonstrate a strong track record of publications and/or other evidence of their contributions to the field of international economics especially as they relate to questions of global governance.

YouthPower uses a positive youth development approach to implement programs within and across sectors. The YouthLead Ambassador program is a six-month professional development and leadership opportunity for young changemakers. As part of the program, the YouthLead Ambassadors design and implement awareness campaigns; host learning events that contribute to knowledge and contribute their ideas on how to make the platform more relevant to changemakers in our network to the YouthLead team.

Eligibility:

  • Be a young changemaker resident in a low-or middle-income (LMIC) country, as listed here, between the ages of 18-35 (at the time of application and through the end of April 2021)
  • Be active as changemakers in the youth-development sector at the local, regional, national, or global level, or must have some experience working on social issues. Demonstrated ability to organize community activities is an advantage.
  • Be able to demonstrate how s/he plans to leverage his/her network(s) to highlight and showcase YouthLead as a place for changemakers.
  • Possess good conversational English language skills and actively participate in conference calls with the YouthLead team in English. Knowledge of other languages (e.g., Spanish, French, Arabic) is an advantage.
  • Be self-motivated and creative.
  • Have strong collaboration and communication skills.

Organization: Museum of Comparative Zoology (MCZ) - Harvard University

MCZ at Harvard University is a center for research and education focused on the comparative relationships of animal life. This program supports postdoctoral researchers at MCZ to pursue the discovery and formal taxonomic description of Earth’s animal species. The program aims to achieve broad taxonomic coverage and is not restricted to any particular taxon. At this time, selection of fellows will give priority to candidates who work on living species.

Eligibility

  • A Ph.D. with relevant research experience in taxonomy and/or systematics is required.
  • All formal requirements for the doctoral degree must be completed before the start of the fellowship, though degree receipt may be forthcoming.
  • The EOW fellowship program is open to both U.S. and non-U.S. citizens.
  • Where appropriate, proposed research should utilize an integrative approach that combines several data types in crafting solutions to taxonomic problems.
  • Applicants need to identify at least one faculty-curator who has agreed to supervise the fellowship.

The Getty Predoctoral and Postdoctoral Fellowships are intended for emerging scholars to complete work on projects related to the Getty Research Institute’s annual research theme or the African American Art History Initiative.

Eligibility:

  • Applications for Getty Pre- and Postdoctoral fellowships are welcome from scholars of all nationalities.
  • Current Getty staff and members of their immediate family are not eligible for Pre- and Postdoctoral fellowships.
  • Getty Predoctoral Fellowship applicants must have advanced to candidacy by the application deadline and should expect to complete their dissertations during the fellowship period.
  • Successful Predoctoral Fellowship applicants who are awarded their degree after the application deadline but before the fellowship begins, or who receive their doctorate while in residence, automatically become Postdoctoral Fellows.
