About the Organization

The Global Partnership and Fund to End Violence Against Children were launched in July 2016 by the UN Secretary-General. The Partnership is the only global entity focused solely on Sustainable Development Goal 16.2: ending all forms of violence against children by 2030.

The End Violence Partnership is a platform for collective, evidence-based advocacy and action. Working with a unique coalition of more than 750 organisations including governments, UN agencies, research institutions, international NGOs, foundations, local CSOs, private sector groups and faith networks, we connect and convene partners to raise awareness, catalyse leadership commitments, mobilise new resources, promote evidence-based solutions, and support those working to end all forms of violence, abuse and neglect of children.

About the Grant

The End Violence Partnership is announcing the 2023 Safe Online investment round of US$ 2 million to seed and grow innovative solutions and research that leverage existing and new technologies to address challenges around age assurance and live streaming of abuse in the online child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) landscape.

End Violence will award up to USD$200,000 to non-profit or for-profit organisations for proposals on innovative solutions that address challenges around age assurance or live streaming of abuse through two modalities:

Tech Solutions: Development of solutions that utilise and implicate technology in innovative, groundbreaking ways that are scalable and globally applicable for addressing age assurance or live streaming of abuse.

Research: Actionable or exploratory research on social and policy questions to better understand the enabling environment as well as address unintended consequences and structural barriers for efficacy and impact of tech solutions that address age assurance or live streaming of abuse.

Who can Apply

For this open call we are actively seeking submissions of proposals from nonprofit organisations - such as civil society organisations (CSOs), non-governmental organisations (NGOs), international organisations, research institutes and academic institutions - as well as private sector companies. Consortia of organizations with different strengths and expertise are highly encouraged. 

How to Apply

Proposal applications must be submitted through the online form. All submissions must be made in English, submissions in other languages will not be accepted. Please attach the required annexes with your application form. 

The last day for submissions of applications is 29 March 2023, midnight EST. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted and may be requested to provide additional clarification, as applicable.
