Giving Joy strengthens and inspires women’s entrepreneurship worldwide. Through its micro-grants and mentorship program, Giving Joy helps women establish or improve their businesses and initiatives—for their benefit and the benefit of their communities.

About the Grant

Giving Joy receives thousands and thousands of applications each grant round. Due to limited funding, we are only able to award between five (5) and ten (10) grants.

At Giving Joy, we are committed to expanding our support for women-led initiatives worldwide. To give more women the opportunity to apply for our micro-grants, we are excited to announce a new application schedule tailored by geographic region. This approach allows us to dedicate focused time to each region, considering local nuances and innovations.

Starting in January 2025, our grant application periods will open quarterly, with each region receiving a one-month window to apply during each quarter.

You can use the grant to start a new business, or expand your existing business. You can also use the grant to start or expand a nonprofit, non-governmental organization (NGO), charity, or propose a specific activity or project you would like to implement.    

The grant period is six months.

Giving Joy will notify applicants on an individual basis (via email) if their application was successful. Grants are up to $500.00 (five hundred) USD. The award amount will be determined by Giving Joy based on proposed activities and availability of funding.

Eligibility

• Women ages 18 and up. 
• You can apply for a grant from any country or state or territory in the world.
• You can propose activities in any field, trade, occupation, or craft. However, your business/organization/idea must focus on women, girls and/or families. And all activities must be Legal!
