About the Organization

PFAN's global network of expert consultants provides free business coaching and investment facilitation to clean energy entrepreneurs in low- and middle-income countries. Our goals are to build clean energy markets one business at a time, mitigate climate change and mobilise private investment in support of the Paris Climate Change Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.

About the Grant 

PFAN provides support to innovative climate and clean energy projects by helping entrepreneurs strengthen their business models, improve financial planning, and prepare for investment opportunities.

Selected projects receive:

• One-on-one business coaching
• Support in developing business plans and financial models
• Investment readiness preparation
• Guidance for investor engagement

• Access to PFAN’s global investor network

Objectives of the Program

• The key objectives of PFAN are:
• To support entrepreneurs developing climate-friendly and clean energy solutions.
• To accelerate investment in sustainable businesses.
• To strengthen the capacity of climate and clean technology ventures.
• To help businesses develop commercially viable and scalable solutions.
• To connect promising projects with investors and financing opportunities.

• To contribute towards global climate action and sustainable development goals.

Eligibility Criteria

• Eligible projects/businesses should:
• Be based in eligible developing regions and countries supported by PFAN.
• Provide climate change adaptation benefits and/or offer clean energy technologies, products, or services.
• Demonstrate technical and commercial viability.
• Have potential for growth and scaling.
• Require investment support rather than only grant funding.
