About the Organization

For 70 years now, iF Design is known for outstanding design and social engagement. Our events and exhibitions celebrate just that. The iF DESIGN AWARD is a major seal of design excellence around the world. In addition, our iF Design Trend Report summarizes the influence of major transformations on current global design and provides a holistic overview of cross-disciplinary design trends in relation to the most important technological and social trends.

The non-profit iF Design Foundation was founded in 2018. Its goal is to promote design and its social significance regardless of economic conditions and constraints.

About the Grant

Our initiative – the iF SOCIAL IMPACT PRIZE – aims to support projects that contribute to our society. The best projects will be honored with a total prize money of EUR 100,000 per year. You are welcome to submit all projects that contribute to solving the most urgent challenges of our time and help to improve conditions – your CSR projects or your active support for a specific aspect of society. The project should already be implemented.

Benefits: If your project is selected for the iF SOCIAL IMPACT PRIZE, you can benefit from advantages which help to boost your project: -

• Prize Money: Your project will be supported with a share of EUR 100,00 in prize money.
• Your Project: Projects selected by the jury will be shown on the iF Design Website for an unlimited period of time.
• Communication Support: Projects selected by the jury will be introduced to a global design community, media and the design interested public.
• Winner Certificate: Projects selected by the jury receive an individual Winner Certificate.
• Updates: You can update your project with latest videos, photos or news.

Categories - the UN Sustainable Development Goals (1-15)

All submissions should be in line with one of the following 15 UN SDGs.

No poverty; Zero hunger; Goodhealth and well-being; Quality education; Gender equality; Clean water and sanitation; Affordable and clean energy; Decent work and economic growth; Industry, innovation and infrastructure; Reduced inequalities; Sustainable cities and communities; Responsible consumption and production; Climate action; Life below water; Life on land.

Eligibility

Companies, design studios, NGOs, foundations, public and other organizations, social enterprises and entrepreneurs are welcome to submit. Student concepts cannot be accepted.
