The baseline study is to evaluate the existing status of major indicators in comparison with SDG India Index[1] with a focus on: child marriages, teenage pregnancies, Maternal and child Immunization, Infant Mortality Rate (IMR), Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR), Nutritional status of mother and child, schools – retention, infrastructure, teachers, students progress,skill development, marketable employment avenues, Industries and Health care facilities. Study should focus on comparison of safety, security and protection among boys and girls.

Project Title: EMPOWER GIRL CHILD #InvestInFuture
Location: Chilamathur mandal in Sri Satya Sai district andChinthapalli mandal in Alluri Seetharama Raju district in Andhra Pradesh, India.
Aim: Dignity of Girls in Andhra Pradesh with fulfilling aspirations in life through Education and Skills.
The project intends to empower girls as in the current days the socio educational and external influences of social media, peer pressure and other anti-social issues, it is imperative to empower girls to become confident, knowledgeable and skill full to face the life realities and achieve their aspirations.
This project proposed to achieve:
1) Retention of children in schools improves confidence and academic performance to achieve the aspirations.
2) Imbibe confidence and courage through life skills and employable skills for better placement.
3) Sustain empowering the girl child through community engagement and sensitizing the parents at village and school level.
The project design is more comprehensive and address the root causes and focus to work on it towards behaviour change to empower girl child and making community the value of the girl child.
Project Impact: Confidently girls decide their path and fulfil their aspirations and be a role models/change leaders among peers in their communities.
Scope of Work
- The consultant/organization to be hired will have the following responsibilities:
- Developing and finalizing the survey methodology and tools.
- Conduct field visits and data collection from diverse stakeholders.
- Engage with community elders, educators, healthcare providers, girls, boys, parents and government officials.
- Analyzing data and providing a comprehensive report with key findings and recommendations.
Methodology
The study will include:
- Quantitative Data Collection: Household surveys, school attendance records, health statistics, and skilling &employment data.
- Qualitative Data Collection: Focus group discussions, key informant interviews, and case studies.
- Secondary Data Review: Reports, government policies, and statistical data.
Deliverables
The consultant/organization will be expected to deliver:
- Inception Report – Detailing methodology, tools, and work plan.
- Draft Report – Initial findings and analysis.
- Final Report –report with recommendations.
- Presentation – Summary of findings for stakeholders.
Timelines:
The study is expected to be completed within three months from the date of contract signing (April to June 2025).
Payment Terms:
The overall payment for the study is INR 3 lakhs, which will be made as follows with TDS deduction as per IT Act:
30% on signing of the contract.
40% on submission of draft report.
30% on acceptance of final report.
Qualifications and Skills
The consultant/organization should possess:
Well-founded experience in carrying out large sample surveys.
Robust experience in conducting baseline studies with focus on Girl child education, health, Nutrition and livelihood.
Understand the cultural, social and root causes concerning child marriages, teenage pregnancy, and continuity of education to fulfill the aspirations of girls.
Good data analysis and report writing skills.
Experience in conduct quantitative and qualitative filed research in rural and tribal communities.
Preferential consideration will be given to individuals with prior work experience in Andhra Pradesh.
