About the Organization

The International Centre for Research in Agroforestry – ICRAF (also known by the brand name ‘World Agroforestry Centre’) is a Centre of scientiϐic excellence that harnesses the beneϐits of trees for people and the environment. Leveraging the world’s largest repository of agroforestry science and information, we develop knowledge practices, from farmers’ ϐields to the global sphere, to ensure food security and environmental sustainability.

About the Proposal

CIFOR-ICRAF is leading the implementation of the Trees Outside Forests in India (TOFI) Program - a ϐive-year joint initiative by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) of the Government of India. The TOFI program aims to expand the area under trees outside forests to enhance livelihoods and ecosystem services across seven participating states, namely Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Haryana, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.

Scaling up Trees Outside Forests (TOF) in India has the potential to yield substantial environmental, economic, and social beneϐits, aligning with the goals and international commitments of the Indian government. However, several barriers related to policies, economic factors, capacity, and information exist, which require focused attention to achieve widespread impact. The TOFI Program has been designed to speciϐically address these barriers, with a particular emphasis on unlocking and capitalizing on the promising opportunities for expanding Trees Outside Forests (ToF) in the seven participating states.

CIFOR-ICRAF is currently seeking suppliers who can supply the below mentioned equipment and machinery related to the Tree Based Enterprise Incubation Centers being established in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.

Payment and other terms

ICRAF has the right to decide terms of payment with the selected bidder, however bidders are advised to include expected payment terms in their bid.

ICRAF reserves the right to accept or reject any proposal, either in totality or partially and to annul the tendering process and reject all proposals at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to the affected tenderer or tenderers or any obligation to inform the affected tenderer or tenderers of the grounds for the procuring entity’s action. If the procuring entity determines that none of the tenderers is responsive; the procuring entity shall notify each tenderer who submitted a tender

• Financial Bid. Bidder will share the password only upon a written request from ICRAF. Only the top three bidders, qualiϐied based on the ϐinancial evaluation, shall be contacted for ϐinal negotiation.
• ICRAF’s Mandate Documents Any bidder participating in the bid shall be bound to share signed copy of ICRAF’s mandatory documents as in Annex-3, non- receiving of signed copy of mandate documents may lead nonconsideration of your bid.
