About the Proposal

Young Adults for Accessible, Respectful, and Inclusive Reproductive Health Initiatives (YAARI), supported by USAID and implemented by IPE Global, addresses the health and well-being needs of individuals aged 10-24 yrs. Focusing on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Family Planning (FP), YAARI prioritizes marginalized communities, empowering youth and adolescents with knowledge and skills to make informed decisions for their health & well-being and helps them connect with opportunities to achieve their aspirations. The initiative advocates for youth-centric, gender-inclusive, and climate-resilient SRH and FP policies through national and regional engagement. By working to overcome barriers to quality health services, YAARI aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, striving to create an inclusive and accessible healthcare ecosystem that effectively responds to young people's needs in a progressing world.

To achieve these goals, project will establish National Alliance of Youth and Adolescents (NAYA) to ensure meaningful youth engagement, with a focus on SRH and FP issues. NAYA will comprise a consortium of representatives from youth-led organizations, NGOs, private sector entities, multilateral organizations working for adolescent and youth development, and government bodies. Secondly project will establish a Youth Health Network (YHN), a two-tiered network of healthcare providers offering a range of services, from counselling and products to clinical services for adolescents and youth aged 15-24 years. The first tier of YHN consists of AYUSH practitioners, tribal healers, and local pharmacies who are well-integrated within their communities. The second tier comprises providers offering specialized services in SRH, contraception, FP and mental health, operating in either the private sector or public institutions.

YAARI is working in 11 Districts across Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh.

Scope of work

The selected agency will provide technical and implementation support to select YAARI interventions in 11 districts of Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The partner agency will specifically undertake:

• Support YAARI district and state level team members in identification of suitable youth clubs in communities and social institutions such as schools, colleges and vocational institutions as per the set criteria in the focus districts as guided by the SPM and national core team.
• Support the district teams in drafting orientation package, orientation calendar of the identified youth club members and the affiliated institution management.
• Work with district and State YAARI team to coordinate with district authorities, other public sector enterprises and private enterprises to mobilize resources to support activities of the selected youth clubs as per the drawn strategy.
• Regularly support Youth club members to align their activities with defined mandate and measure progress and share with the district and state level YAARI team.
• Assist the YAARI team in identifying suitable health service providers, as per set criteria, form private sector for inclusion in the Youth Health Network (YHN)
• Support the YAARI team in mapping of these providers included under YHN
• Support the YAARI team in conduction orientation of the identified providers at the block level in coordination with block/district health authorities
• Provide regular logistic support to the identified YHN providers
• Support the YAARI team in regular follow-up with the YHN providers (AYUSH providers, e-clinics, pharmacies) to track progress and provide necessary support bolster youth-friendly services.
• Promote the YAARI ICT app through Youth clubs, identified social institutions, community outreach events, social media, block/district level partner organizations in alignment with the ‘Engagement and Promotion’ strategy.
• Regularly support the YAARI team at the block and district level meetings with diverse govt and non-govt stakeholders
• Duration of the project: The activity is planned for three years.
• Support and work with identified Youth clubs and YHN providers in coordination and guidance of the project team
• Agency to quote manpower cost with the proposal.
