HSIL Corporate Social Responsibility Foundation is a registered trust set up by HSIL Ltd. to conduct CSR activities of Somany Impresa Group Company. HSIL CSRF is inviting proposal/ concept note with implementation plan from eligible agencies with prior experience in conceptualization and implementation of women entrepreneurship projects.

About the Proposal

Women's entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 5 (gender equality) and SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), by fostering economic empowerment and driving sustainable development. Women's entrepreneurship empowers women economically, giving them control over their livelihoods and challenging traditional gender roles.

It promotes gender equality by increasing women's participation in the workforce and leadership positions. Women entrepreneurs can play a vital role in addressing poverty, hunger, and inequality and can foster social inclusion and community development.

In this direction, HSIL-CSRF is willing to implement a CSR project on women entrepreneurship that can contribute to SDG 1, SDG 2, SDG 5, SDG 8 and SDG 10. In addition, the project can foster gender equality, social inclusion and economic development.

Objective

To facilitate an interface for rural women in skill training, capacity building for helping them to become self-reliant and fostering gender equality, social inclusion and economic development.

Project Location: NCR

Scope of Work

• Identification and engagement of 100 women preferably from marginalized/ socio-economically backword sections of the society and providing training and handholding support on entrepreneurship.
• Building knowledge and skills in production, selling and supporting the women entrepreneurs in establishment of small business
• Facilitating in market-linkage, supply chains, and handholding, and networking support in establishing connection with potential market/buyer/group of buyers
• Linking the women entrepreneurs to relevant government schemes/loans/insurance (group insurance/business insurance etc.)
• Ensuring the project self-sustainable and ensuring minimum or zero dependency from external support (after completion of project tenure)  

Eligibility

• Prior experience to facilitate and train women in entrepreneurial skills is necessary.
• The proposing agency must be at least 5 years of old and must have implemented similar CSR projects for companies
• Experience in establishment of inter-sectoral convergence and support implementation of women centric schemes would be necessary.

Evaluation & Selection Process 

Proposals will be shortlisted on the basis of prior experience of doing similar works in the selected geographical location. Only shortlisted agencies will be contacted.
