About the Organization

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Since its inception, the Vision of the TISS has been to be an institution of excellence in higher education that continually responds to changing social realities through the development and application of knowledge, towards creating a people-centred, ecologically sustainable and just society that promotes and protects dignity, equality, social justice and human rights for all.

‘Saksham (“making people capable”) is a project of TISS that is committed to supporting the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in its HIV and TB response. The Saksham project focuses on supporting and strengthening national response for both HIV and TB without creating parallel structures. Saksham in partnership with the National AIDS Control Programme (NACP) pioneered the development of curriculum for HIV Counsellors across India and has partnered with the National TB Elimination Programme (NTEP) to provide counselling and psycho social support for People living with Drug Resistant TB in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Rajasthan.

Saksham Pramaan (April 2021 - March 2024) is the HIV component of Saksham to support NACO for intervention evaluation and mid-term programmatic evaluation of the NACP.

About the Proposal

• Items mentioned above are general items used in offices.
• TISS reserves the rights to award the contract to one or more bidders. Please note that any enquiry received from any bidder will be sent to all bidders without disclosing the source of enquiry TISS reserves the right to cancel the bidding before or after the receipt of bids or also after opening of bid and call for fresh bids. TISS also has the right to reject any bid without assigning any reason.
• All the information to be provided by the bidder should be on their letterhead, and all the pages to be signed and stamped by the authorized signatory.
• The basic rates quoted against items should be effective for a period of 1 year. Rates given in quotation are to be maintained at a fixed cost for duration mentioned in the RFP. In case of unavoidable circumstances if the rate needs to be increased, please furnish us with relevant supporting/self-declaration on letterhead to justify the increase in set costs. (Cost must be mentioned including all Govt. Taxes in force)
• If there is delay in delivery of material, a penalty clause will be imposed as per TISS policy of 0.5% deduction on total value for delay of every week. TISS also reserves the right to cancel the entire order in case of delay of more than 7 days from the scheduled delivery dates.
• Bids incomplete in any respect will not be considered.
• Please mention your payment terms /condition in the bid.
• Any query for clarification on the bid can be sort from the undersigned latest by 31st March, 2025
• The bid should quote & enclose self-attested PAN Card copy. Payment will be released as per pan card registration only. If payment required on another name, please attach relevant copies.
• If service tax is charged on above services, please mention service tax registration number

How to Apply

• Last date for receipt of quotation submission: - 31st March, 2025 by 3.00 p.m.  
• Please write proper address and underline on top as: Quotation for Voice Recorders Saksham and send to the below address in a sealed
• Rate of partial item/ quantity should will not be considered for comparison & such quotation will not be considered by us.
• Final price will be referred to for awarding the contract. Errors in price or GST columns or calculations if any, shall be the responsibility of the applicant.
