The International Centre for Research in Agroforestry – ICRAF (also known by the brand name ‘World Agroforestry Centre’) is a Centre of scientific excellence that harnesses the benefits of trees for people and the environment. Leveraging the world’s largest repository of agroforestry science and information, we develop knowledge practices, from farmers’ fields to the global sphere, to ensure food security and environmental sustainability.

We receive our funding from a wide range of investors, including governments, private foundations, international organizations, and regional development banks and TOFI program is fully funded by USAID. Our work is conducted with partners from several scientific and development institutions.

About the Proposal

CIFOR-ICRAF is leading the implementation of the Trees Outside Forests in India (TOFI) Program - a five-year joint initiative by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) of the Government of India. The TOFI program aims to expand the area under trees outside forests to enhance livelihoods and ecosystem services across seven participating states, namely Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Haryana, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh.

One of the key deliverables under the program isto set up/ upgrade existing plant nurseries in the implementing states to enable easy access to Quality Planting Material (QPM). The proposed nursery upgradation in Koraput, Odisha aims to enhance and expand the existing nursery facilities to support large-scale production of seedlings and tissue culture seedling.

CIFOR-ICRAF is looking for eligible vendors to undertake the upgradation work of the nursery as per the scope of work.

Scope of Work

Repair/Modification of existing infrastructure –

• Water Body renovation
• Renovation of mist chamber
• Road for transportation of seedlings
• Repair of Vermicompost Units

Creation of new infrastructure –

• Overhead tank
• Open well creation with platform
• Water supply system with channels for flow of water by Gravity
• Inspection path of 5 ft. width
• Trolly with wheel for internal transportation

Addition of new technocratic nursery practices –

• Shade house and making in functional by providing Sprinkler system to cover 100 nos. of beds.
• Repair of the existing Lemon grass oil processing unit.
• Power tiller repair
• Vegetative propagation instruments.

• Company profile – The PDF should contain all relevant document of firm such as Copy of CIN/Proprietorship deed, GST Certificate, Registered Office Address, PAN, Balance Sheet F/Y 2020-21, 2021-22 and 2022-23 along with P&L accounts, Director/Owner’s ID proof, Contact Numbers, Emails, Letter of suitability that contain details of previous work of similar nature with contact details of previous client. Bids received without proof of similar previous supply with contact details of client will not be considered.
• Financial Bid (financial proposal pdf must be password protected) submitted to procurement-icrafsouthasia@cifor-icraf.org. Bidders will share the password only upon a written request from ICRAF. 3.
