As part of its livelihood program, SELCO Foundation focuses on empowering communities through sustainable energy solutions. Each region presents unique challenges and opportunities, with diverse livelihoods shaped by varying ground realities and socio-economic systems. Given this complexity of ecosystem challenges, SELCO aims to highlight the distinct impact of its initiatives in this region, showcasing how tailored approaches to energy access are transforming lives and enhancing livelihoods.
To bring these stories to life, SELCO plans to use photography as a medium to document and share the impact of its initiatives. These photographs will serve as a visual narrative, illustrating the unique challenges faced by the communities and the significant positive changes brought about by sustainable energy access.

• To document and visually communicate the impact of SELCO Foundation’s livelihood program through high-quality photography,
• Showcasing how tailored sustainable energy solutions are transforming lives and enhancing livelihoods in Assam and Meghalaya.
• To developing a visual narrative plan to ensure alignment with storytelling
• conducting field visits to obtain edited and color-corrected high-quality images, and delivering photographs
3. Scope of Work
Location: Assam and Meghalaya
The proposed project shall include the following:
• Document specific communities, livelihood activities, and locations in Assam and Meghalaya that best represent the impact of SELCO’s interventions.
• Develop a visual narrative plan to ensure that the photographs from each state align with the overall storytelling objectives.
• Field visits to the locations in Assam and Meghalaya, focusing on capturing high quality images that illustrate the diverse impacts of SELCO’s livelihood programs.
• Capture and deliver 100 edited, color-corrected photographs from each state (Assam and Meghalaya) to SELCO Foundation, ready for use in various formats, including reports, presentations, and outreach
Requirements:
• The consultant must have proven 5-8 experience in Photo shoot documentation, especially in projects related to social causes and community development. Experience working in the regions of Assam and Meghalaya is a plus.
• The consultant should provide a portfolio showcasing previous work. This portfolio should demonstrate high production quality, creativity, and the ability to convey impactful stories through Photographs.
• The consultant should have strong project management skills, ensuring timely delivery of all deliverables. The team should have an engaging, upbeat personality, who can capture the right emotion and testimonials from the communities.
• The consultant must be adaptable to changing project needs and open to feedback during the production process. This includes being able to work under various environmental conditions and locations.
• Different category of stakeholders is to be consulted for the to understand the site assessment process.
• Agency are required to travelled to Assam and Meghalaya and take SELCO input for capturing Photos.
Technical Skills:
• The consultant must possess technical expertise in using professional-grade DSLR or mirrorless cameras, multiple lenses, external microphones, tripods, stabilizers, portable lighting kits, and drone cameras. Proficiency in professional editing software like Adobe Photoshop is essential.
• Well versed with working on Google sheets and Docs for project coordination.
• Access High-speed internet to share it online.
Selection Criteria
• The consultant should have more than 5 – 8 years of experience in photography documentation,
• The consultant should have strong project management skills, including in projects involving photoshoots, documenting photo stories, developing visual narratives and high-quality editing skills
• The consultant should offer competitive pricing while maintaining high standards of quality. A detailed cost breakdown should be provided, ensuring transparency and alignment with the project's budget.
