About the Organization

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) was established in 1963 as an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry to contribute in the skill building for the external trade sector of India. It has come a long way to successfully develop into a unique institution involved in imparting knowledge through research and training in international business and trade. The Institute was granted “Deemed to be University” status in 2002. The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has recognized IIFT as Grade ‘A’ Institution in 2005 as well as in 2015. Over the years, IIFT has emerged as a national university with focus on International Business Management and Strategy, and such focus is reflected in all three major activities of the Institute: Research, Training and Education.

Job Responsibilities

• Coordinating with Higher Bodies (i.e., MHRD, UGC) and University etc. for the latest information regarding quality Parameters
• Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per guidelines and parameters of NAAC.
• Organization of inter and intra institutional workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles.
• Dissemination of information on various quality parameters to all stakeholders.
• Timely approvals from the Statutory bodies and maintain relevant and qualityacademic/ research programmes.
• Establishing Networks for enhancing joint research and consultancy activities
• Ensuring all quality standards to be met as per prescribed guidelines for Faculty Recruitment.
• Since it is a Consultant’s position, the candidate is expected to have good knowledge of rules, regulations, procedures and guidelines to lead a team of staff assigned in the cell and other administrative responsibilities to accomplish the tasks being undertaken by the IQAC Cell.
• Ensuring timely compilation of the reports, documentation, submission etc.
• Coordination for Accreditation and Ranking of the Institute
• Coordination for the implementation and execution of the decisions of Higher Authorities, Councils, Bodies and committees.
• The candidate must exhibit the capability to adhere to strict timelines and discipline.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Post-Graduate/ CA/ CS/ LLB Degree with 55% marks or equivalent CGPA
• Academic writing and Good command of the English language (both written and spoken)
• A minimum of 10 year experience of working in a similar position in Higher educational Institute or Institute of repute.
• The applicant must have a working knowledge of computer applications and packages.
