Qualification: Graduate or Post Graduate in any one discipline (Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry, Veterinary/Animal Science, Agri Engineering, Social Sciences, Rural Management with experience.
Experience: In-depth knowledge and about 8-10 years’ experience in at least one of the following programmes:
- NRM
- Livestock development
- Livelihoods Promotion
- Social Management - management of various programmes
Job profile:
- Manage and oversee operations in the State in ways consistent with BAIF and BISLD’s mission, vision, strategic goals and performance targets
- Oversee design, delivery and quality of programmes, projects and services ∙ Develop and promote Projects/Programmes in consultation with the State Head, Regional Director and CMG
- Planning, monitoring, reviewing, executing, controlling, processing, and liaising for BISLD projects and liaise with Government, Sponsor Agencies, Donors, External Agencies, etc.
- Manage the human resources of the organization according to authorized personnel policies and procedures that fully conform to current laws and regulations and support motivation of employees
- Identify needs of rural populace in the State, design projects, identify resource requirements, research funding sources, establish strategies to approach funders, and submit proposals in line with BAIF and BISLD’s guidelines
- Ensure that the Staff and Management have sufficient and up-to-date information
- Ensure proper documentation, data analysis of programmes in the State
- Efficiently manage financial and physical resources
- Assist in preparing yearly budget for Management approval and prudently manage organization's resources within those budget guidelines according to sponsor requirements, current laws and regulations
- Ensure adequate Monitoring & Evaluation and Internal Audit processes are in place and timely compliance of the points raised
- Interaction with institutional Partners / Project Stakeholders for project progress, inspection, handling and deliverables
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures laid down by BAIF and BISLD
- Ensure compliance with Statutory and Legal requirements in consultation with the State Head
- Submit of periodic progress reports to the State Head, Regional Director and sponsoring agencies
- Ensure handling and closing of complaints of community, donor, staff and BISLD management expeditiously.
- To act as per Regional Director’s directive as and when required.
- Besides the above responsibilities, the Management may give any other responsibility they think necessary for the smooth and efficient functioning of the Organization.
