Job Summary:

To play a pivotal role at the national level for managing and coordinating activities and translate learnings of Tribal TB prevention & care from the districts and states to the national level across, liaise with the various Government departments under the aegis of the Tribal Health Collaborative for the fulfilment of the overall objective, support the government departments particularly Central TB division, Ministry of tribal affairs with the technical support including data intelligence &  insights, coordinate with the THC in initiating/ organizing/ participating in national level events on Tribal TB, build capacities of the State and District level teams to engage with respective stake holders, provide strategic input for Communitization , State Capacity Building and Innovations to the key personnel of the  project – Chief of Party, Technical Advisor, Research Monitoring Learning Evaluation Lead.

This role will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

  • Preparation of monthly community level activities and visit plan in coordination with District Lead and in consultation with FLWs
  • Visit tribal villages/ habitations and conduct meetings with community influencers
  • Ensure all community level activities are conducted as per SOPs, quality protocols and project guidelines
  • Conduct IEC activities related to TB in villages, panchayats, hamlets and Haat/ Bazaars level or any other platform
  • Identify TB Champions from among TB Survivors
  • Recruit and arrange for training of potential TB Champions
  • Mobilize Tribal peoples for membership in TB Forums
  • Ensure availability of sputum containers, Falcon tubes, referral forms etc at the relevant community spots and with identified Community influencers willing to do referrals.
  • Ensure registration of Community influencers on Nikshay who are willing to do referrals.
  • Recording and reporting of project activities and detailed profiling/ mapping of Community Influencers
  • Maintain records of referrals from relevant Community Influencers
  • Ensure availability of services both in Community and health facilities by regular checks and flagging gaps. (optimum distribution of sputum containers, referral formats, lab tech availability, machine functionality, treatment initiation, DBT , Informant Incentive etc)
  • Any other task assigned based on operational needPeriodic feedback on the analysis to district team and Central team
  • Orient and handhold the field team on data collection and reporting mechanism
  • Review and raise red flags or deviations in trends.
  • Documentation of field activities through district teams as per need
  • Maintain dockets of visit reports, staff activity plans and summary sheets
  • Maintain repository of recorded MoMs, photographs, videos
  • Any other responsibility assigned as per the program need.

Desirable Qualification & Skills

  • Graduate/Diploma in health and life sciences or related field
  • Must be a resident of the district applied for
  • Knowledge of the District (applied for) and surrounding terrains
  • Should be willing to travel within the district.
  • Strong communication and mobilization skills

Ability to deliver high-quality outputs in limited time

Desirable Experience

  • At least 3 years of prior work experience, directly with the community, in a similar role
  • At least 2 years of work experience in the health sector

Duration of posting:

  • Fixed term opportunity
  • The incumbent should be able to join the duty station at the earliest
