About the Organization

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) was established in 1936 as the Sir Dorabji Tata Graduate School of Social Work. In 1944, it was renamed as the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The year 1964 was an important landmark in the history of the Institute, when it was declared Deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act (UGC), 1956.

Job Responsibilities

• Field data collection, stakeholder interviews, focus group discussions, case studies and documentation.
• Data entry and transcription of the collected data

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Social work, Rural Studies, Development Studies, Environmental Studies, or related disciplines with minimum 55% Marks
• Prior experience in fieldwork research or working on water-related projects will be a valuable asset.
• A willingness to travel to field locations is essential.
• Strong communication skills in English and Marathi are required

Salary

₹ 20,000 per month
