Job Description

The Government Liaison will provide support across all workstreams, but will be primarily involved in capacity building support for government officials on evaluation methods and processes. Candidates must be experienced in survey protocols, data collection, spoken Hindi and English, and must be able to work closely on a day-to-day basis with government stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

• Conducting training sessions on topics such as survey design, data collection, data cleaning, data quality, ethics, and analysis.
• Designing tools and resources for the target audience on the various concepts and methodologies introduced.
• Supporting in the administrative management of working with the government, such as issuing and following up on letters and notices in Hindi.
• Provide end-to-end support to government officials across a range of topics, including conducting research studies and evaluations.
• Participate in client meetings if needed and lead a few sessions if required.
• Always follow IDinsight’s values, culture and vision including performing to an exceptionally high ethical standard and focus on integrity, collaboration and teamwork in all efforts.
• Promote and contribute to a safe, secure environment to the project team.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Any Graduation, Bachelor/Master Degree in Social work will be an added advantage.
• Must have at least 5 years of experience in leading teams in conducting socio-economic surveys.
• Experience in data collection tools and questionnaires. Experience of working on the mobile data collection apps like (Kobo Collect, ODK, SurveyCTO, Survey Monkey and any other similar apps).
• Proficient in basic computer applications like Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
• Experience in stakeholder management in government settings.
• Ability to work in a flexible and adaptive manner based on the requirements of the government and the project, which constantly evolve.
• Ability to consistently meet data quality and tight deadlines.
