Position: Fundraising Coordinator
Location: Remote
Responsibilities
● Develop and execute fundraising strategies to support the Skill Development Program's expansion and sustainability.
● Cultivate and steward relationships with individual donors, corporate partners, and philanthropic organizations.
● Identify and pursue grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
● Maintain accurate donor records and track fundraising activities using donor management software. The coordinator manages donor databases, enters donor information, updates records, and generates reports to evaluate fundraising performance.
● Monitor fundraising performance against goals and provide regular reports to the leadership team.
● Stay informed about trends and best practices in fundraising, philanthropy, and skill development.
Requirements
● Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, or related field.
● Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, or grant writing, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling fundraising appeals and proposals.
● Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
● Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with donor management software (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge).
● Passion for Morelife Foundation's mission and commitment to social impact and empowerment.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience working in the field of skill development, education, or community development.
● Knowledge of grant writing techniques and experience with grant proposal development.
● Familiarity with fundraising events planning and execution.
● Understanding of online fundraising platforms and digital marketing strategies.
● Advanced degree in nonprofit management, fundraising, or related field
