About the Organization

Established in 2007, the National Health Systems Resource Centre, a premier Think Tank for MoHFW, is mandated to assist in policy and strategy development in the provision and mobilization of technical assistance to the states and in capacity building for the Ministry of Health.

Job Responsibilities

  • Undertake/ Assist field visits and monitor/review the programme implementation.
  • Coordination of NHM Programme Implementation Plan (PIP) with Programme Divisions of the Ministry, collation of their inputs/comments on the PIP for placing the same before the NPCc for State allocated to the consultant.
  • Capacity building of States for preparing PIP.
  • Prepare reports for internal analysis of programme implementation of the allocated states.
  • Collate information on allotted States for facilitating planning process and monitoring of NHM implementation activities.
  • Undertake any other assignments, which may be assigned from time to time by the Reporting Authority i.e. Director/Deputy Secretary.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Post-graduation or higher qualification in public health, Community health, Preventive & Social Medicine.
  • Published work in the area of health systems or public health.
  • Post-qualification work experience of 0 to 1 year in Health Systems Research or in Planning and implementation of service delivery.
  • Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel, Power Point & Web surfing to search relevant data & documents.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, analytical and interpersonal abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Working knowledge of Hindi also desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in operationalizing health program at field level/ working in strengthening of district level health systems.
  • Willingness to travel to states & districts to provide technical assistance & ability to work on different assignments simultaneously to meet the timelines for assignments.

Salary

Between Rs. 40,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- per month.
