About Kerala Startup Mission

KSUM is the State Nodal Government Agency that support the startup ecosystem by means of building or connecting different components such as Infrastructure, Incubators and Accelerators, Industry collaboration,R&D connect and Institutional linkages, Skilled Talent creation, Funding, Government Support, International Collaborations, Scaling Existing and Establishing New Incubators/accelerators and build up a model for moving fast from ideas to IPO/Unicorns.

Position Overview

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the FabLab, including regular service projects, design consultancy assignments, and long-term development projects. Ensure timely execution and delivery of all projects while driving revenue growth and sustainability of the FabLab. Maintain and strengthen strategic partnerships with international organizations such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Fab Foundation. Proactively identify, attract, and secure external projects and collaborations for the FabLab. Plan, coordinate, and conduct workshops, training programs, and capacity-building initiatives to promote innovation, digital fabrication, and maker culture.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead the comprehensive operations and maintenance of FabLab Kerala, encompassing budgeting, procurement, planning, revenue management, billing, and effective customer relations.
• Spearhead impactful projects such as Machines-That-Make in partnership with MIT-CBA and Fab Foundation to create the next generation of fabrication machines.
• Devise and implement programs that harness the mini FabLab network into a distributed fabrication cluster and make access to prototyping services easier.
• Provide data-driven insights on revenue forecasts, billing, and collection, and recommend strategies for revenue enhancement and cost reduction.

Educational Qualification

• B.Tech is mandatory
• Candidates must have Fab Academy or MBA (Regular) or MTech from a recognized university.

Experience

• Minimum 6 years of total experience, with at least 3 years in a digital fabrication or Industrial productions.- Experience working with designing, prototyping or digital fabrication is essential

Skills and Competencies

• 2D and 3D Designing, working in an engineering team - Exposure to CAM software’s like Autodesk- Exposure to electronic design automation (EDA), embedded programming

Age

• Below 40 years as of 01-06-2026 

Salary and Other perks

• Rs 1,00,000 as consolidated pay and other benefits as per KSUM policy
