Job Description
The Communication Officer will be responsible for enhancing the organization’s visibility and impact by creating targeted content and strategically placing it digitally. The ideal candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of modern communication strategies and tools and will excel at crafting compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
This role requires a dynamic individual who can manage the creation of impactful literature, publications, and high-quality reports and collaterals. The ideal candidate will have a flair for digital marketing, a keen understanding of the latest trends, and the ability to handle in-house graphic design and content creation
Job Responsibilities
- Develop, write, and edit communications and marketing materials, including blog posts, social media content, press releases, speeches, and the annual report.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external contacts such as media outlets, vendors, and influencers.
- Manage the organization’s websites, social media accounts, newsletters, and other digital communication channels.
- Ensure all marketing and communications materials align with brand guidelines.
- Maintain digital media archives (photos and videos).
- Work closely with designers and vendors for design and printing tasks.
- Collaborate with relevant staff teams on content creation and developing success stories.
- Ensure effective email marketing communications to various stakeholders.
- Implement digital marketing strategies to increase online visibility and engagement.
- Stay updated with the latest trends in digital marketing and apply best practices to enhance ChildFund’s online presence.
- Support the Individual Fundraising team in digital fundraising.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by the manager.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in related field of community development/social science or relevant discipline.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in communication and digital fundraising in the development sector.
