About the Organization

The Department of Social Security and Development of Women & Children, Punjab started functioning in the year 1955. From 1955-89, the Department worked for the welfare of Widows & Destitute women; Old Age Persons; Blind and Mentally Retarded and Orphaned & Dependent children along with steps to curb immoral trafficking. For this period, the Department was a part of the bigger Department of Social Welfare. In 1989, the Department of Social Welfare was bifurcated into the Department of Social Security and Department of Welfare of SCs and BCs.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Post Graduate degree in Social World /Sociology/ Child Development/Human Rights Public Administration/Human Development    and Family Studies/ Psychology/ Psychiatry/Law/ Public Health/ Community Resource Management with minimum 60% marks from a recognized University.
• 3 Years of experience in relevant field.
• Preference will be given to the candidate working/have worked in Government Organization.
• Ability to work on MS-Office (word, excel, power-point, internet) with ease.
• Must have passed Punjabi at Matric Level or equivalent.

Salary

46340/- per month
