Job Description

Title of the Project Development of Integrated Landscape Management Plan and Monitoring Strategies for Greater Panna Landscape, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh

Selected candidates shall coordinate and implement the following: (1) Ecology and monitoring of tiger, co-predator and prey (2) Ecology of Vultures/Galliformes including breeding and movement patterns, and habitat/nesting suitability modelling in the landscape, (3) Assessment of woodland birds and Galliformes and (4) Handling, processing and analyses of large-scale spatial data, landscape analyses for habitat and corridor mapping including LULC, species distribution modelling, Data entry, data analyses, report writing and all other associated works assigned by the project investigator

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Master’s degree in Natural or Agricultural Science/MVSc or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.

Desirable Qualification(s)

• Candidate(s) with prior experience in sampling design and animal abundance estimation are preferred with reference to monitoring of Tiger, co-predator and prey. Domain knowledge and experience in field data collection for birds (especially Vultures/Raptors and Galliformes), including biology/ecology and telemetry.

Salary

Rs. 31,000/- plus HRA
