About the Program
AIF’s Livelihoods program envisions a world where poor and vulnerable communities have access to dignified work opportunities that empower them with sustainable livelihoods.
Since 2006, the Livelihoods Program has directly and indirectly served 2.20 million people from vulnerable communities. Leveraging technology to provide financial and market linkages, knowledge, skills and dignified work opportunities, the program helps communities secure jobs, manage enterprises and make a respectable living.
Through its flagship programs—Market Aligned Skills Training (MAST) and Ability Based Livelihood Empowerment (ABLE)—AIF Livelihoods has provided program support to 825,960 disadvantaged youth, women and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) and impacted 343,727 livelihoods.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Implementation – 50%
- Manage and coordinate the day-to-day affairs related to the implementation of projects aimed at benefiting the target group.
- Oversee the hiring and orientation of project team members in alignment with project goals.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines and efficient utilization of budget to fulfill project commitments.
- Supervise mobilization and community engagement activities to ensure project deliverables.
- Coordinate with the project team to achieve project targets.
- Assess and evaluate the aptitude of the target group after mobilization.
- Assess target group aptitude and facilitate onboarding on LMS/MIS.
- Regularly interact with the target group to share information about existing programs that can benefit them.
- Facilitate the target group in onboarding digital platforms and accessing relevant government and non-government digital services.
- Develop the training plan with the team and ensure adherence to achieve targets.
- Ensure smooth delivery of training on different modules along with soft skills.
- Ensure regular follow-up and engagement with the target group during and after training and gather feedback.
- Respond to queries regarding training/capacity building, placement and self-employment in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper guidance through job readiness, self-employment and income enhancement workshops.
- Collaborate with employers, vendors and businesses to ensure adequate placement, market linkage and expansion opportunities for program participants.
- Conduct regular visits to respective communities, stakeholders and government bodies to ensure project deliverables.
- Ensure placement and self-employment deliverables are achieved effectively and on time as per the given plan.
2. Documentation – 20%
- Consistently provide excellent-quality data and documentation that meet the organization’s quality standards.
- Produce accurate and timely reporting of project status throughout its life cycle.
- Develop reports and manage project documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Document and share success stories periodically for program communication.
- Conduct timely and effective baseline and endline community need assessments and stakeholder mapping exercises to mobilize and enroll eligible candidates.
3. Financial Management – 20%
- Monitor and report monthly budget utilization and project expenses internally and externally.
- Manage local expenses, including approvals, advances, reimbursements and local procurements.
- Ensure optimal utilization of funds as per the donor budget.
4. Reporting – 10%
- Proactively seek approvals from the reporting manager for project operations.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation related to project implementation activities, including contracts, budgets, expenses, fund utilization, manpower and administrative expenses.
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate, preferably with a postgraduate qualification in any stream.
- Minimum 7–9 years of experience in the skilling and livelihood space.

- Demonstrated excellence in time management, multitasking and problem-solving.
- Adaptability, flexibility and openness to feedback.
- Ability to deliver under pressure and work on tight deadlines.

- Ability to work independently with large volumes of data and demonstrate initiative.
