Job Description
Title of the Project Long-term research and conservation interventions in and around Tiger Reserves of Odisha
The selected candidate will be working on this collaborative project. The job involves intensive field work to collect data on tiger and their prey species in the two tiger reserves of Odisha. The work will also involve managing a team of research persons for this purpose, collate the information, analyze them and publish reports, conduct training programs along with other responsibilities given by the project investigators.
Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- Doctoral Degree in Natural Sciences (Wildlife Science/ Zoology/ Ecology/ Marine Sciences / Marine Biology/ Environmental Sciences/ Geoinformatics/ Life Sciences)/ Agricultural/ Forestry Sciences from recognized institute/ University
Desirable Qualification(s)
- Candidate with prior research experiences with large carnivore ecology, camera-trap based animal abundance, line-transects etc. will be given preference. Experience with radio-telemetry techniques and animal tracking will be an added advantage.
