India’s various social classes are yet to be assimilated; their participation in the process of governance remains fractured. Cumulative progress needs to be fair and equitable. And integral to that is a legal system that empowers the marginalised, is just and fair in letter and spirit, and most importantly, does not use the law as a tool of oppression.

Job Description

National Law University, Delhi is seeking to engage on contractual basis, one parttime/full-time Research Assistant. The Research Assistant is expected to engage in diverse research activities mainly data compilation, tabulation and analysis apart from writing of research papers, publication and Report editing and writing etc. He/she is expected to assist Principal Investigator/Project Director in conducting research on various themes and topics relating to the ICSSR Project and of the Centre.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

• Candidates holding post-graduate degree in law (LL.M. with 55 % marks minimum) having interest and experience in empirical and doctrinal research in interdisciplinary fields.
• Candidate should be below the age of 40 years at the time of appointment.

Essential Qualifications

• Possess a post-graduate degree in law with minimum 55% marks
• Demonstrate good field research skills and experience
• Demonstrate good oral and written communication skills
• Ability to create quality content, worth publication
• Good knowledge of MS-Office and online platforms
• Experience and ability to collect and compile data and its analysis

Salary

Remuneration will be Rs. 10000- Rs. 25000 per month depending upon the assignment (part-time or full-time).
