About the Organization
The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, formerly known as the Demographic Training and Research Centre (DTRC) till 1970, was established in July 1956 under the joint sponsorship of Sir Dorabji Tata Trust, the Government of India and the United Nations. It serves as a regional centre for Training and Research in Population Studies for the ESCAP region. The Institute was re-designated to its present title in 1985 to facilitate the expansion of its academic activities. It was declared as a 'Deemed to be University' on August 14, 1985, under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The recognition has facilitated the award of recognized degrees by the Institute itself and paved the way for further expansion of the Institute as an academic institution. In 2006, the Institute celebrated its Golden Jubilee.
Job Description
- Overseeing the work of the LASI on work-plans of agencies, reports and other deliverables.
- Development of detailed terms of reference and day-to-day management of other members of the team. Oral and written reporting to IIPS.
- Close coordination with state agencies, training and leading the entire team
- Supporfing the IIPS in analyzing data to monitor and validate results. Timely execution of survey including field work, data processing, tabulation and final results Developing indicators, related targets, methods, reporting formats and procedures. Compilation and analysis of survey data.

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience
- PhD degree in Population Sciences /Statistcs/Mathemafics/ Social Sciences with minimum 8 years of experience in the related domain.
OR
- MBA with minimum 10 years' experience in project management/ development sector
- Track record of leading large-scale surveys in health / social sector.
- Experience in coordination and liaison with varied stakeholders, governmental and non- governmental.
- Proven managerial and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
Desirables:
- Experience in handling large-scale surveys.
- Experience in stafistical and demographic packages.
- Data Analysis and report wrifing, Assessment of data quality of the ongoing survey, and other technical support to the project activities.
Salary
Rs. 1,10,000/- to Rs. 1,25,000/- Per Month (Consolidated)
