Are you a science journalist eager to explore cutting-edge academic research and engage in meaningful conversations on global development? Here’s your chance to participate in high-level, inclusive, and evidence-driven discussions on today’s most pressing development challenges.

GlobalDev, an initiative of the Global Development Network (GDN), invites applications from science journalists to take part in the Global Development Conference (GDC) 2025, to be held from October 28–30, 2025, in Clermont-Ferrand, France.

GlobalDev is dedicated to strengthening the research communication capacity of academics, offering training programs and publishing opportunities that amplify their work for broader audiences.

Benefits:

• Selected journalists will receive sponsorship for travel and stay, gain exclusive access to sessions on Inclusive Digital Transformation, and connect with researchers, policymakers, and development practitioners from around the world.
• You’ll also attend capacity-building workshops and help shape collaborative training programs in research communication.

Eligibility

We especially welcome applications from women journalists, those from LMICs and other underrepresented communities.
